Coast/Beach
Altinkum means ‘Golden Sands’ and the area certainly lives up to its name, with 3 beaches within the town itself, flanked by miles of glorious coastline, all framed by a spectacular mountain backdrop. The beaches are sandy, perfect for relaxing and as Turkey averages only 20 days of rain per year be sure to pack your sun screen and a good book. The water is shallow and safe so the children can take a dip. For those energetic souls on the move, try out some of the waters ports that are offered.
Travel
Bodrum is the nearest airport being 75 mins away or Izmir is about 110 mins away. We can arrange private transfers to and from the airport to your luxury villa (price on per person). A car is not essential as the local dolmus (local mini-bus) runs about every 15 mins and will cost about 50p for the destination. Or take 10-15 mins walk along the golden sandy sea front promenade to Dolphin Square.
Further details
The main centre is Dolphin Square and there is a modern shopping complex. Two main supermarkets, Carrefour and Migros, between the seafront and town centre. Everything from disco dancing, karaoke and belly-dancing to bingo. Those who are more energetic can try their hand at wind surfing, jet-skiing, pedaloes, a banana boat ride or perhaps a scuba diving lesson all with easy walking distance.
