MAGAZINE NEWS
Apollon Palace2 designed by same people as Appollon Palace1 and Apollon castle which has been sold off plan and finished today. As we sold all of them we started Apollon palace2 for our clients we hope you will like it. The complex was built over a hill with a sea view on the way to the marina. It has been designed like a fortress and built on an overall area of 1500m2 of land. 400m2 of the total area was devoted to the construction ground while another 1100m2 was reserved for the garden, swimming pool, and car parking.
Located in the most prestigious area of Altinkum, Didim, these luxurious apartments combine the elegance of classical charm with the practical utilities and highest standards of modern living
You may be forgiven for thinking you are entering one of the finest 5 Star hotels as the path, modelled upon the famous Sacred Road of antiquity, leads you to an entrance truly palatial in scale and grandeur.
Designed upon the facade of the Library of Celsus at Ephesus, the lonic columns, supporting graceful arches, rise to the complete height of the building. The frieze motif is a direct reproduction of that found in the Secos at the Temple of Apollo. It is as though you are walking into your own private sanctuary.
An oasis from a turbulent world. The cool marble, cut from the same local Latmos quarries utilised in ancient times, prevents even the burning summer heat from entering this calm idyll.
Adorning the exterior walls and features is an eclectic combination of Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman styles. The four great civilisations that once resided in this streaming blue landscape. The resulting delight upon the eye is an amalgam of the rich tapestry that has forged today's Turkey.
Earlier this year the Turkish Government issued a directive announcing that Didim be given the status as a town of Tourism and Cultural Development.
Now, building projects must conform to certain aesthetic models, and standards must attain to those outlined by European Union regulations. The builder of these aparments, Hakan Acar, has surpassed these requirements.
Hakan states that, "Attention to the finest detail has always been my goal from the very beginning of the project". As a native of Didim, Murat has an emotional link with the town, its present day growth and its compelling history.
"I live here also. I want Didim to be beautiful."
One of the most stunning elements of this "attention to detail" is 'Cleopatra's Pool', a swimming pool designed upon the example of a Roman Bath (albeit with added jacuzzi). Some eighty metres square, it offers more than enough space to accommodate all the inhabitants of the aparments.
A circular bar/snack building, positioned just offset from the pool area, echoes the solemn grace of an antique ruin. Most sensitively, the Greek Meander motif decorates the floor of the pool. We are, after all, here in the domain of water.
Well manicured gardens surround the extensive building, which also vaunts a large car parking area. Whilst the enclosing stone built walls, once more, transport one back into a by gone age.
As a beguiling final flourish, the columns that usher one into the steps of 'Cleopatra's Pool' are constructed from old grindstones once used to press olives in a now expired local factory. Charming, simply charming.
Into the interior of this beautiful building, through the ornate 'castle court' gates. The marble staircases continue the theme of elegant antiquity, as do the Ottoman style tracery of the windows illuminating your gentle passage.
Before entering any of the ten aparments pause to notice the statuettes of the God Twins, Artemis and Apollo, that are housed in the low-relief niches that flank you.
As soon as one steps over the threshold a sense of spaciousness and cool fragile light envelopes one. All the aparments feature three generously sized bedrooms, the main bedroom with en-suite facilities. The artistically designed bathrooms reveal a jacuzzi bath amongst the normal modern utilities. Large, light and airy living rooms, with access to numerous balconies, are a tranquil place in which to relax and unwind. The kitchen area, just off the living room, is also a generous space, along with top of the range facilities.
The quality of finish is unsurpassable. In both materials and colours, the aparments, quite frankly, ooze a magnificence that elevates the spirit. Thoughts naturally drift into that soft reverie, that almost whispers, "What would it be like to own a place within these delicate surroundings?"
Modern conveniences also abound, of course. Smoke alarms are to be found in each of the apartments, air conditioning available for summer nights and the all-pervading telephone and television sockets firmly in place.
Within the depths of the building are those unique features that become a bonus to all. Firstly, there are individual storage rooms for each aparment. So useful to store those ungainly suitcases cluttering the corner of a bedroom, or for acting as a home for brooms and buckets. Whatever, the space is there to be utilised. £37000 pound is for ground floor price the apartment number is 2.It is off plan today and will be finished by the end of July 2008. |
